Solid, well built aluminum. Comfortable. Look fantastic. I'm kicking myself for having bought cheap Chinese made powder coated steel chairs in the past from Wayfair. These are powder coated aluminum and put the steel chairs to shame! Don't make the same mistake I did. Buy Winston!

One chair was excellent, the other would not swivel freely. The manufacturer sent a new base and collar which we had to replace ourselves. It now swivels better, but not as freely as it is supposed to. The 11 year old set that we gave to some neighbors still swivel freely.
