Current limiters can be used to power your track system and include a breaker that prevents the system from being over-loaded. These are often used in applications where energy efficiency standards need to be achieved, and are a requirement for LEED certification to ensure your application does not exceed the maximum load rating for any given circuit of track. WAC current limiters are rated based on amperage, typically manufactured in 0.5, 1, 2, 5, 7, and 10 amp versions. There are two styles of current limiters available for "H" style track, an Octagonal Live End Feed that fits over a standard 4in octagonal junction box or a Slim Live End Feed that can be installed as a surface or suspension mounted current limter. All WAC current limiters include an on/off switch on the side of the limiter for ease of testing. Once the max load rating for the current limiter is achieve on any given circuit, the current limiter will cut off power to the track system, forcing you to reduce your load before the current limiter can be reset to turn on the remaining loads. WAC Current Limiters are easy to install and assures compliance to California Title 24 or ASHRAE 90.1 requirements. Energy code track installations are subject to wattage limitations based upon the size and usage of the space. Please be sure to order the appropriate current limiter by selecting the model number which corresponds to the H system with the required amperage rating. If the track is overloaded the current limiter circuit breaker will trip and shut down power to the track. May be reset when the overall sum of fixture wattages are reduced below the circuit breaker rating.
