Midlothian, TX6-7-2024I have gone through 3 of these covers since purchasing my Umbrella and feel it is a very necessary item. I have had no fading of the Umbrella due to using this cover when the umbrella is down. The sun in Texas will fade and em-brittle the umbrella fabric if not covered. The cover is way cheaper then replacing the Fabric. The only thing that would help with the cover is to have the top of it more resistant to the sun; the top is the first part that becomes brittle from the sun and you find the cover sliding down over the umbrella. I keep an extra cover on hand and when I have to replace the cover because it failed I order a new one right away.

This cover appears to be heavier than previous covers. The zipper is nicer than the last cover. Overall it appears this cover will bear the elements better. Our order was easily placed online and the item arrived earlier than projected delivery date. Patio Living's price was the best of all sources. I have purchased repair parts for different umbrellas from Patio Living and have always been satisfied with the parts and their customer service.

Our old one had one continuous cord so was much easier to zip and unzip the cover. I removed the tabs and cord from the old umbrella and sewed them onto the new umbrella. I really think they should go back to the old way of manufacturing the umbrella.

Allentown, PA 7-20-2020Finding the correct product number for your umbrella cover is the big challenge. Once you have that, the next obstacle is placing an order confidently on line. For example, the site continues to say that shipping method is Curbside Pickup, even while it's asking for your delivery address. Very confusing. After I placed the order, nothing, no delivery promise and no shipping date. I wan't in a hurry, so I was patient, but it was a week or so before I received shipping notification.
Once I received the product, all was good. Although designed and constructed differently than the one I was replacing, it works just fine and I'm glad I waited it out.
5 Stars for the product, 3 for the ordering process.

I took the time to "iron on" some reinforcement on the top seam area, where my old cover got holes and then ripped. Even though the new rod (to help put the cover on and off) has some cushioning on the tips, I added a plastic golf ball to help prevent the rod poking through the top of the cover again. Works great!
