We have a lot of media components (gaming consoles, receiver, speakers, hubs etc...) so we were looking for a cabinet that ventilates well. In my opinion, this is not a good piece for audiophiles or home theater. Our Polk bookshelf speakers did not fit despite the adjustable shelves (they stand 1 foot tall). Our Onkyo receiver did not fit due to the depth of the cabinet (This is my fault as I did not have the internal dimensions before I purchased. I should have emailed Hooker). I should say that this could accommodate a smaller media setup- sound bar, a cable box, and a gaming console with games. There are some craftsmanship/quality issues as well- the piece is mostly MDF (Hooker doesn't hide this). Some of the edges on the on the shelves and doors were raw/splintered/unfinished. We used some dark wood scratch cover to help with this. There is a substantial veneer run on the front of the piece too. Some of the door slats do not line up which could drive certain people nuts. The overall look of this piece from afar is nice- the colors and design are very nice. The casters are extremely convenient. But with a closer look, it could have been done better especially for the price tag. I am giving this 3 stars for the quality/craftsmanship issues, not the dimension issues as those are my fault.
