The exterior design of this Terrace Bowl is meant to mimic the terraces that occur in nature or in fields cultivated by man. Terracing decreases erosion and supports crops that require irrigation by enabling efficient use of shallow soil and allowing runoff to water terraces below. The interior of our bowl is smooth, the entire piece is glazed in a food safe matte white glaze. Crafted in Portugal of slip molded ceramic clays.
