  • 3.0 out of 5.0     OK, but not GREAT. Sandra from  Denver, CO 7-9-2023 The fabric between the wooden form-slats is not as taut as in my previous umbrella. The "loose-wrinkled" look isn't pleasing to me, and "No" it can't be cranked any tighter. However, the crank handle works like a champ to easily raise or lower the umbrella when weather threatens windy conditions. The ability to slant the angle of the umbrella is also a boon and works wonderfully. It's the LOOKS of the fully opened umbrella that disappoint me a lot. I owned this same wooden slat, hand cranked umbrella before and was SUPER pleased with how taut and "perfect" it looked on my patio when open. Based on that disappointment alone, I can't give this umbrella a higher rating. Wish I could submit a pic. (Did not RETURN b/c it was already installed in the center of my table, and my installer-help had left. Could not un-install and package to ship back alone.) Oh well. It works and I love the color!
