It is a bit hard to get it to tilt but hopefully it is because it is new. You really have to use crank hard to get it to tilt mode. I live by the intercoastal waterway in south Jersey and I hope it holds up against the wind. So far so good!!

My only suggestion would be for some instruction on putting it up, There was protective wrapping around the uppermost part of the pole which I couldn't see when I assembled the two part pole. When I put it up and pushed up the umbrella, the plastic got stuck in the umbrella ring and was extremely difficult to extract. A little info on removing it prior to opening it would have been very helpful
