An impressive piece with expressive carving and creatively presented storage, the base of the sideboard maintains a concave shape across the entire front while the top portion swells outward at the center. This allows the user to stand comfortably at the central work area while keeping knees clear of the wine below. A conical carved shell motif cleverly transitions the bowed area above to the concave shaping below. The top of the sideboard flips upward to reveal a stone cutting surface which is removable and has cushioned feet to allow for placing on the top of the sideboard to either side of the work area. A beveled and framed mirror is mounted on the bottom of the lid. A drink mixing station is located below the removable stone and has niches toward the back for bar tools and a laminated mixing area toward the front. Hideaway table leaf storage is accessed from the end of the sideboard. This area is behind touch latch operated doors and holds leaves, in protective bags that fit the pedestal table or the leg dining table. An illuminated display area is located at either end of the sideboard behind beveled glass door panels. There is a 3/8 fully adjustable glass shelf behind each door. The central bowed drawer has velvet line silver tray and a multi-bottle wine rack is located at the lower center of the unit. The finish is a rich and warm pomegranate shade that has both depth and clarity which allows the natural beauty of the wood graining to shine through. Burnished edges, hand rubbed fronts and machine rubbed tops provide a satiny glow that enriches the Old World feel of this collection.
