Cantilever base Linda from  Fort myers, FL 7-25-2022 This base is huge and required 200 pounds of sand which I am very glad the delivery men put in the stand for us because it would’ve been next to impossible for us to do this, The base must be very heavy to hold this huge umbrella so both things together are fantastic.

Very Solid Base Scott from  Cheraw, SC 8-17-2019 This base works great with our AKZ umbrella. Only issue is I wish it was a little easier to get the sand in, but well worth the effort in the end.

Strong construction Lorraine from  PA 8-16-2019 Base provides the support required for the umbrella. Getting the sand into the small opening of each compartment took some time but overall assembly was easy.

Very Sturdy Leslie from  Metairie, LA 7-24-2019 This stand required 4 containers to be filled with sand. Might need someone with a little muscle to place in stand after filling!

Stable Gloria from  freeport, FL 5-26-2019 Each bladder holds 100# sand so recommend pool filter sand as it normally stays dry in pool company storage. Big box store sand is outside and weighs a ton because it’s wet. Therefore filter sand is dry and easy to pour

Good Buy! Greg from  Shoreacres, TX 12-31-2018 This product is a little pricey but the quality in design and material suggest it will last a long time. Its a great addition because it gives you options to relocate your umbrella.

Great Idea Craig from  San Diego, CA 9-12-2018 Having 4 units to fill with sand makes this a much easier stand to work with.

  • 4.0 out of 5.0
Great base Rebecca from  Sagamore hills, OH 7-7-2017 Great base and like the 4 sections which does make it easier to move around. Opening for filling sand could be larger. We had a lot of sand spillage and kept having to shake the container to move sand around to get more inside.

sturdy T from  Old Tappan, NJ 6-28-2017 Very sturdy. Plastic look and cover not as elegant as umbrella. Could have nicer finish but its not moving any time soon with 400 lbs of sand.

AWESOME!!! Mary from  Roscommon, MI 6-19-2017 Am a 68 year old woman. Filled the base with 400 lbs of sand and only needed help inserting the umbrella pole. Felt the pain for a couple days in my back from pouring the 50 lb bags of sand but it was worth every ache!

It's Not Going Anywhere Michael from  Louisville, KY 6-10-2017 Although filling the sand chambers wasn't fun, it is a confidence builder, leading one to believe it will help keep the umbrella from acquiring launch codes.
  • 5.0 out of 5.0
Best Umbrella Ever Lori from  Mercer Island, WA 6-9-2017 The base is big, but very solid and doesn't look bad either. It holds 400 lbs of sand in 4 separate compartments. Its relatively easy to put together, hefting the sand is the hardest part. We're very pleased with this purchase.

Great Product! Charles from  Colts Neck, NJ 5-20-2017 Excellent service by patioliving.com, quality product, easy assembly. Extremely satisfied.
  • 5.0 out of 5.0
Very satisfied. Edward from  Stow, OH 5-13-2017 Box came a little dinged up but the contents were all intact. Easy to assemble, but as others have commented, filling the 4 containers with sand is problematic. I found 50lb play sand on sale at a local discount store and filled the containers by cutting a small hole in the sand bag, stabilizing the container, and just pouring the very dry sand into the containers. This made a little mess but not much. And you have to be able to maneuver a 50lb bag. Some type of funnel that screws onto the opening might be nice. Overall would still recommend. It is quite sturdy for our 10ft cantilever umbrella, even in moderate wind.

Great Umbrella! Lori from  Monroe, LA 4-15-2017 Very sturdy base with it holding 400 lbs of sand. We made a makeshift funnel out of an orange juice jug to ease transfer of sand into the modules.

glad we bought Doris from  Coeur D Alene, ID 3-22-2017 This needs to be heavy to do its job but filling with 400 pounds of sand was quite the chore.

Just what we needed Maury from  Midland, TX 2-18-2017 Base works great for our high winds when we have them. Only problem was that the base was cracked on one corner but we simply put it in the back and no one can notice.

Very Sturdy Jenny from  La Verne, CA 9-20-2016 This is the best quality stand for the umbrella. It's peace of mind that the umbrella will not fall over. Impressive. This is the base to buy. It states use up to 400 pounds of sand in the base. All I could pour in was about 300 pounds and returned the remainder to the store.

Functions well and looks nice once assembled, but a very arduous and poorly designed process to do it Helik from  Leesburg, VA 9-13-2016 The designers obviously thought of the functionality of the base (i.e. the weight it needs to consist of to support the umbrella), but paid little attention to the process of filling up the sand in the 4 boxes: Filling them through a narrow opening, while holding up a 50 Lbs bag of sand is a back breaking task. In addition you are supposed to pack it down half the way with water by shaking a box with no handles. We improvised by getting a 3-in x 15-in Plastic Vent and Pipe Flashing that we used as a funnel to allow for the slow flow of sand into the box, and set up stools so we can minimize bending for the long time required. The installation video is very misleading since it is obvious the demonstration is with an almost empty bag, and there is no indication of the packing with water which is required if you want two bags to fit in (as is required). The filled boxes have grooves that are used as handles, but since it is a very small object that ways a lot (over 100lbs ) when filled it is hard to pick up and lay in the designated base space. There are numerous ways to improve this process, starting with the cheapest - providing a specially designed funnel, increasing the diameter of the box opening, and maybe redesigning the boxes to enable easier filling and minimize lifting of these heavy objects.

Just what we wanted! Jim from  Millville, UT 8-13-2016 This is great to have as an alternate to attaching the umbrella directly to a patio or concrete base. The cover lifts off and there are 4 containers that can be filled with sand or water to provide ballast.. The umbrella attaches easily with 6 screws. All tools are provided. It matches the umbrella perfectly and we love it!

Great buy Maria from  San ysidro, CA 8-6-2016 I adapted four wheels with breaks, this should be an addition to this base.
  • 5.0 out of 5.0
Very sturdy Christy from  Laguna niguel, CA 7-30-2016 Easy to assemble, but I do have to say that filling it with sand was a trick, lol! However, all in all, we are very happy with the stand and are happy we chose this particular one. Holds our umbrella extremely well and has rounded corners so if you accidentally kick it with your bare feet, it won't hurt like some of the others (i.e., stone or steel). Very happy with our purchase.

Excellent Buy Heidi from  Las Vegas, NV 6-24-2016 Filled the Base with Sand. Had really very strong winds over 20n mph, this Base stays like a rock. Can only recommend it
  • 4.0 out of 5.0
Only one exception Alice from  Versailles, KY 5-30-2016 This base works well. Because of the 4 tanks underneath, you actually could move the base around if you wanted to rearrange. My only complaint would be that the top covering is a thinner plastic that easily scratches. I covered up some scratches with a brown permanent marker. It had become scratched just in the initial set up.
