4.0 out of 5.0 Polywood bench Debra from Savage, MN 7-23-2024 Well the product itself looks and feels great. But we found out quickly….that the holes that were pre drilled were not lined up. In the directions it says that it would not take much time to put it together…well a big NO there. It took wood clamps to move and hold the back and seating ares to get the bolts in. It took pounding by a hammer to get things to move in the correct position. A lot of curse words and frustration that it did not go together smoothly like promised. Quality control on the pre drilled connections needs help!! It took 2 of us about 1 1/2 -2 hours to put it together. So very frustrating, plus the shipping of the bench was much later than promised. Think twice about ordering this bench.

The bench looks fine but I was very disappointed in the color. I ordered dark green. It is a light green, not my favorite color. If I had seen it before assembly I would have sent it back. If I had to find something to improve I would have the holes on the slats forming the seat filled in or capped. Also, the triangular pieces firming up the bottom of the seat to the two front legs: I would have similar pieces for the back to make the seat even sturdier.

I had a problem, however, in that I really prefer somthing in wood or rattan. I realize now that for what I needed, by my pond, this was truly the only choice to make. It is recycled, something I like, and it is durable. It looks amazing from afar and up close. It is comfortable and requires literally no maintenance. I got the mahogany color, and it is perfect. I don’t have to move this in the winter. When it rains, the bench maintains no moisture and immediately following always seems to be dry. I highly recommend this and also the price because I have seen these elsewhere and they are not cheap. Putting it together was easy and a no brainer. I love it.
