Mitzi lighting is one of four brands owned and operated under the Littman name. Headed by David Littman, the tradition of lighting manufacturing began in the Littman family in 1939. David’s grandfather created a lighting business out of his garage in New York which quickly flourished into a thriving company, and the industry took notice. At the young age of 23, David took on a leading role in his family’s business and he has now been the leader of Hudson Valley Lighting for over three decades. The four brands that are operated under the Hudson Valley name are unified by several shared values. Each brand seeks to be environmentally-friendly through its material sourcing and its production processes, maintain a high standard of quality, and maintain a focus on design excellence. Mitzi proudly taps into its engineering expertise to continue to innovate and evolve their collections while keeping today's customer expectations and preferences in mind. The brand was initially inspired by the founder’s grandmother, who was both a visual artist and a frequenter of antique markets.
